- Peer engagement:
- The peer engagement through the comments was a great way to learn through the semester, from the minds and brains of our peers! I loved that I could get constructive feedback and positive encouragement at the same time for all of my assignments. It was great to see the passion that my peers had for helping my own content become that much better!
- Creativity:
- This class really pushed my creative side, as I was always thinking of ways to make my posts more creative and witty and engaging. For a class on patents, I loved that it pushed my boundaries and really put me in the "authors" position, as I had never before realized how hard generating content is, as I was always the consumer of content, never the producer.
Stay tuned for the next few takeaways!
Hi Payal,
ReplyDeleteI think the way you segmented the key takeaways under peer engagement and creativity was very appropriate. I agree that this class really allowed us to push our creativity and allowed us to learn from one another more than most classes would! Aside from these soft skills, I think it is important to note the more technical ideas we have learned such as intellectual property and the effects of NPEs and the government!
Hi Payal! I really like how you succinctly describe the main benefits of our takeaways from this class. While I am aware that this class significantly boosted our creativity by making us come up with some assigments that we never encountered before, I also find it fascinating how you mention the peer engagement part of classroom learning. Like you said peer engagement through the comments not only got us constructive feedback but also positive encouragement from our peers!
ReplyDeleteHi Payal,
ReplyDeleteGreat post on peer engagement and creativity! This is a little different than what other people have mentioned, and I like that!
I agree with the positive effects of this class - like how it pushes us to be creative since we want to entertain our audience - but do you think there were any negatives for having so much student engagement? It is very hard to generate content, so congrats on the last week of class:)
Payal,
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed this post! I could not agree more that learning from each other saws one of the most rewarding aspects of this class. I also agree that the course really allowed me to express my creative side through posts, pictures, and videos. I really love the layout and conciseness of your post! Great work!
Payal,
ReplyDeleteGreat job with this blog post that details your key takeaways from this class this semester. I like how you broke down the takeaways into two broad categories, peer engagement and creativity. I too agree that these were great learning points, and that this class did an especially good job of encouraging these concepts through the social media learning. With regards to the unconventional nature of the class, homework assignments, and discussions, this class was truly unique. Thank you so much for articulating many of the points I was thinking about, and I thank you for your time and effort with these blog posts!
Best,
Anish
Hi Payal,
ReplyDeleteI like how you took a bit of a more abstract take on your valuable takeaways from the course! I actually did the same, too. It's interesting how you found the peer comments to be so important! I too enjoyed the peer engagement - if not through comments, at least through being able to read everyone else's thoughts and see how they were approaching the assignments. I thought the comments definitely helped push us towards becoming a community, and I hope that future classes get to experience that more and beyond!
